Introducing the Oncor AC Tune-Up!

Stark Service Company is proud to have partnered with Oncor in a special pilot study program to bring Oncor customers the most efficient and economical Tune-Up... for a fraction of the cost of a regular tune-up!

The study has already shown that over 60% of tested systems have significant problems that result in these systems providing only two-thirds of their designed cooling capacity and typically using one-third more electricity than necessary!

For a limited number of houses, Stark will tune-up your comfort system for only $29.95.

The regular cost is $129.95, but for qualifying Oncor customers, Stark will give you an instant $50 discount and Oncor will match that $50 with an additional instant credit.

What does this mean for you?
If you qualify, YOU ONLY PAY $29 for Stark to perform the Oncor Tune-Up on your system!

This tune-up goes much “deeper” than many traditional tune-ups:
-It truly reveals how much cooling your system is actually delivering and provides you with a detailed list of what you can do to improve system efficiency
-We provide you with a comprehensive report that shows your system's performance before and after your tune-up, so that you immediately see the impacts
-We log the results of every tune-up and add them to a database of research that is working towards improving tune-ups for everyone
-The tune-up also includes the following, as recommended by ENERGY STAR (www.energystar.gov):
-Check thermostat settings to ensure the heating and cooling system turns on and off at the programmed temperatures.
-Tighten all electrical connections and measure voltage and current on motors. Faulty electrical connections can cause unsafe operation of your system and reduce the life of major components.
-Lubricate all moving parts. Parts that lack lubrication cause friction in motors and increase the amount of electricity you use. It can also cause equipment to wear out more quickly, requiring more frequent repairs or replacements.
-Check and inspect the condensate drain in your central air conditioning, furnace and/or heat pump (when in cooling mode). If plugged, the drain can cause water damage in the house, affect indoor humidity levels, and breed bacteria and mold.
-Check system controls to ensure proper and safe operation. Check the starting cycle of the equipment to assure the system starts, operates, and shuts off properly.
-Inspect, clean, or change air filter in your central air conditioner, furnace and/or heat pump. We can show you how to do this yourself. Depending on your system, your filter may be found in the duct system versus the heating and cooling equipment itself. A dirty filter causes energy costs to be greater than they should be and can damage your equipment, leading to early failures.
-Take external static pressure (ESP) of your duct system. External static pressure is a reading that proves the actual airflow of your system.
-Records wet bulb, dry bulb and relative humidity in your house and heat/cooling system. These measurements coupled with the ESP (external static pressure) allows us to calculate the actua delivered capacity of your system. For instance, just because your system is a 3 ton unit, that does not mean it is delivering all 3 tons of cooling. In fact, most units do not deliver full capacity to the home.
-Record volts and amps draw of system and be able to calculate total voltage used by your system.

All residences metered by Oncor with central AC that was installed prior to January 1, 2005 are eligible.
Limit one discount per residence. Offer expires September 15, 2008. Participation is limited and Oncor reserves the right to end the program at any time.
